It was May 29, 1953 when Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa became the first people to stand on the top of the world's highest peak Mount Everest. Since then several people have accepted the challenge to reach the summit. Some of them succeeded and some of them not. Some did succeed but with sacrifice and some of them even lost their lives. The most suitable period for Everest Base Camp Trek is between March-to-May and September-to-December. During May things are quite hot and since it is before the monsoon season there are chances for rain (Be prepared for that). And during December temperature reaches below 0 degree (Be sure to pack bags with warm clothes).

It is recommended for trekkers to take a guide along with them. Hiring a guide or porter has its advantages. For $10 to $20 a day they'll be giving someone a job to earn their daily living and in return they'll assist in their trek. Besides having a guide along with them means that there will be no chance of getting lost in the way. Also having a company of someone in the trekking period is quite good isn't it.
