Day 1 KATHMANDU – LHASA AIRPORT(Drive 100Kms (3658m, 2 hrs)
When you will reached at the Gonggar(Lasha) airport from Kathmandu,our Tibetian guide and driver will welcome you at Lasha airport ,there you can find a great Tibetian hospitality. A flight from Kathmandu to Lasha airport will offer one of the most beautiful flights sightseeing in the world,there it is worthless trying to express the pleasure of feeling panoramiic views. After that you will be taken from to the hotel to relax and acclimatize with the high attitude.
Day 2 SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA
After a refreshing breakfast we will go for sightseeing at Lasa. A whole day program will be briefed and your tour will be guided by experienced guide to Sera Monastery he will offer an insight to the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism, Norbulingka and the Barkhor Square. Norbulingka is the summer retreat of the Dalai Lama where you pay a visit. The building was ready in 1956 with richly decorated by Tibetan carvings and paintings. The Tibetan cultural glimpse can also be seen in the Jokhang temple. We can spend some time walking around the busy Barkhor Square and escort back for the hotel.
Day 3 SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA
Our next visit will be at Potala Palace, which is the most beautiful structure for sightseeing. Potala Palace is located at Lasha, Tibet. It is one of the amazing place to visit, When we move on to the ancient chamber of the Palace we will experience the best Tibetan art, which is followed by the most beautiful statues along with the tombs of the eight Dalai Lamas. After that you will be taken to visit the Drepung Monastry , there you will be observing the monks and the nuns chanting the mantra and performing religious discourses. Finally, our day will end with alluring views of Potala Palace and we will escort back to our hotel for rest. Note: The sightseeing of the places will be decided as per the order decided by the Guide since only limited numbers of visitors are allowed to visit the Potala Palace.
Day 4 LHASA – GYANGTSE (3950m, 261KMS, 8 hrs)
A very next morning we will continue our journey to friendship highway on a private land cruiser with a guide with us. After that we started driving from Lasha to Khampa la Pass(4730 meters). We spend some quality time to enjoy the views of major peaks covered with the snow in the eastern region of Himalayas, Along the way of Norjing Gang Sang spiritual snow mountain range to the west across the waters of Yamdrok Lake. Further, we descend and drive across the local nomadic and farming villages to arrive at the western edge of Yamdrok Lake. We stop here for our picnic lunch at a nice meadow next to the lake. The trail continues to Karola la pass (5050 meters) and we have our first high altitude adventure experience of Nogjing Gang Sang Glacier Peak and a good time with local yaks and their herders. Finally, we end our day, late afternoon, at Gyangese (3850 meters) and check in a hotel for pleasant shower and dinner. We stay at hotel today
Day 5 GYANGTSE – SHIGATSE (3900m, 95KMS, 2 hrs)
Today, we will visit different historical and cultural centers . After having breakfast we will leave for Palkhor Chode monastery including the Kumbum stupa which is the only survival with such distinctive structure and the thousands of art works and the local ancient Gyangtse fort. Then after ward we will move on to our day trip to Nying Chu valley which is located in the central Tibet of Sigatse. After the trip we will take a rest in a hotel.
Day 6 SHIGATSE – LHASA (3658m, 280KMS, 5 hrs)
Now we will visit Tashilhumpo Monastery which is surrounded by high walls, it has much more to explore. It is also one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet, We will visit the monastery and explore the local market after breakfast and drive back to Lhasa following a short route.
Day 7 LHASA – GONGGAR AIRPORT – KATHMANDU
After the arial views of Himalyan range we will leave the airport on time and take the flight back to kathmandu.
Day 2 SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA
After taking our breakfast we will move on to the sightseeing at Lasha. A whole day program will be briefed by our experienced guide.
