Further, we enter a wooded area passing pink blooming trees and large bamboo plants and come across a stream to be in Banthanti (2300m). Ahead, to the Nangathanti (2520 m), an hour climbs away to Ghorepani (2750m). On the trail to Nangathanti, we have jungle with thick vegetation, mossy tree and then we follow a stream up to a narrow valley climbing more stairs.
Hike for around 1 hour to Poonhill (3190m) early in the morning. At the top of the Himalayas, offers a breathtaking view of the Dhaulagiri & Annapurna Range as rising sun swathes with its rays.. Trek back to Ghorepani and hit the trail back to Tadapani (2590m). The trail extends itself towards north in a ridge line allowing visibility of Annapurnas stretching from east to west.
Moving along with the canyon leads to sharply descending muddy slope followed by small settlement. Persisting down the narrow and muddy canyon which is heavily forested goes along with stream and down it sometimes. Finally,we arrive at open area visualizing a bigger valley. After hiking a dense forest and moving down to the stream we reach Tadapani for lodging.
The easy trail falls to Kimrung Khola and ascends again to reach Chhomrong Village. The village provides a beautiful view of Annapurna south, it is situated at the base of Hiunchuli Himal which is the highest permanent residential area in the valley.
Chhomrong is one of the biggest village of Gurung ethnic people of Nepal. They are especially popular as a warrior after their fearless fight in the 1st and 2nd world war. These people are still serving as British Gorkha Army.
