Visa Information:

You can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu Nepal.

Day 1

GONGGAR AIRPORT – LHASA (3658 m, 1 hour)

Our representative will receive you at Gonggar Airport along with your Tibetan guide. Further, we will drive to Lhasa (3658 meters) after the immigration formalities. After an hour drive to the old city we check in to the hotel for rest. For the day, relax and drink plenty of water to acclimatize in the high altitude.
Note: Today is rest day so we have no fixed program.
Day 2


The sightseeing at Lasa will start after a refreshing breakfast. A whole day program will be briefed and an your tour will be guided by experienced guide to Sera Monastery offering an insight to the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism, Norbulingka and the Barkhor Square. Norbulingka is the summer retreat of the Dalai Lama where you pay a visit. The building was ready in 1956 with richly decorated by Tibetan carvings and paintings. The Tibetan cultural glimpse can also be seen in the Jokhang temple. We can spend some time walking around the busy Barkhor Square and escort back for the hotel.
Day 3


Today, we visit the majestic Potala Palace, the imposing structure, for sightseeing. You will be guided through the structure of Potala Palace which dominates the landscape of Lasha. You can experience best Tibetan art as we continue through the ancient chambers. The palace has the vast array of intricate Tibetan murals and beautiful statues along with the tombs of the eight Dalai Lamas.
Further, you will be guided to visit beautifully landscaped Drepung Monastery and observe nuns and monks chanting mantra and performing religious discourses. Finally, we will escort you back to hotel for pleasant rest.

Note: The sightseeing of the places will be decided as per the order decided by the Guide since only limited numbers of visitors are allowed to visit the Potala Palace.

Day 4


Ganden Monastery, the very first Gelug Pa ( Yellow hat tradition of Buddhism ) monastery to be founded in Tibet by the great founder of Yellow hat tradition, the source of the great traditions of Dalai Lamas, Penchen Lamas and various other highly respected Buddhist personages!
Its history dates back to the 15th century, visit the monastery and do a short trek around the monastery, it is a leisurely and more relaxing day! After lunch we do a short trek around the monaster “The kora, holy circuit” and on to Trupshi village. Late afternoon return to Lhasa for overnight stay.
Day 5

Hotel – AIRPORT – KATHMANDU (1300 m, 1 hr)

We leave to Gonggar airport to fly back to Kathmandu.
