Karnali River Rafting is considered as one of the best rafting trips in the world. Rafting or Kayaking in Karnali is one of the best trips available in the World. This mightiest river originates from Mt. Kailash in Tibet and hence Karnali literally means Holy water from the sacred mountain. Considered as Nepal’s Big and Mightiest River, it lies in the country’s Wild West, which has only been recently opened to tourism. It carves its way through the Tibetan plateau and through the Himalaya into Nepal’s lush western forests. After the snow melt this river becomes a raging torrent with huge rapids which offers brilliant rafting and kayaking. A highlight is the 7km long gorge which is one long raging rapid that sucks you in one end and spits you out the other(in one piece). This is one of the Nepal’s must do rivers.
As Karnali River wedge through the Himalaya in a series of magnificent gorges and forests to tropical riverine forests, we come across Nepal’s Wildlife. The river is also rich in Himalayan aquatic life such as Golden Masheer and giant Catfish. This is Nepal’s largest and longest river, flowing uninhibited through the least populated region of the country. For the eight days and 180 kilometers we won’t see a single sign of the modern world making it Nepal’s finest multi day river rafting.
