Accommodations

Royal Mountain Trekking will be arranging a superb 3 star hotel providing with proper amenities inside Kathmandu. And while during the trek we will provide accommodations on the teahouses and lodges that we are familiar of. Note that all these lodges and teahouses will be properly monitored prior your trek. And all the facilities which you got on the hotels from Kathmandu wont be available to that extend in the teahouses and lodges.

Meals

Royal Mountain Trekking will offer original Nepalese cuisines along with some other variations of common cuisine like Tibetan, Indian and Continental during your trek. While you are in Kathmandu you are provided with food of your choice from the options like Nepalese, Indian or Continental. But while trekking you will be limited to Nepalese and Tibetan variations but relax they will be high energy yielding and tasty for your trek. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be served on lodges or the teahouses. Not to mention but we do provide welcome as well as farewell dinners for guests.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Round Annapurna Trek is a moderate trek which is perfect for the trekkers with the physical ability to walk at least 5-6 hours a day with a light bag-pack. In case of bad weather condition we might need to walk a bit more. It will be better to consult the doctor before attempting this trek. Past hiking or trekking experience will be quite beneficial for the trekkers and if the trekkers is the patient of problems relating to lungs, heart and other things it will be better to inform Royal Mountain Trekking staffs prior this trek. Trekkers who are planning this trek are requested to carry out minor jogging or walking for at least a week before attempting this trek.

Day 1

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu

You will be picked up and welcomed by our airport representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. You will then be given further details about the program. There are no planned activities for the day so you can enjoy your stay at the hotel and take in its surroundings.
Day 2

Drive from Kathmandu to Synge/Jagat (1100m) Duration: 8 hours

We will drive to Beshisahar. We then take a local jeep from Beshisahar to Syange. This drive gives you some insight of the rural people – their lifestyle and their culture. From Syange, we begin our trek. We’ll walk to Jagat. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 3

Jagat to Dharapani (1960m) Duration: 6 hours

We will trek to Jagat winding up at Chyamje. As soon as we cross the bridge the suspension bridge, the trail hikes up via Oak forest. We’ll hike continuously for a while until it reaches to a valley. Further, following the trek route we cross  th village of Kodo and arrive at the village of Dharapani. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Besides Our glorious destination, to shop traditional crafts, Namche is the central trading post in the Khumbu are the opportunities for Himalayan and lowland merchants. We will spend two days with our team for acclimatization at Namche. On the hike we click our first a momentary of Everest and close peaks. Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included at night.

Day 4

Dharapani to Chame (2630m) Duration: 5 hours

The trek route ascends along with the mule track and further entering the fir forest. The trail then follows the river along with the higher oak and maple trees. During our hiking you will be amazed by eye-catching, views of major Himalayan peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 5

Chame to Pisang (3300m) Duration: 5 hours

Our trial now follows a steep and narrow river valley winding through deep woodland. The glorious view of Pisang peak and Annapurna II on our way is truly awesome. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 6

Pisang to Manang (3570m) Duration: 4 hours

Today we will take the upper route to Manang via Ghyaru – Ngawal – Mungji. We will experience more awesome views as the unrivaled, majestic peaks overwhelm our felling with panoramic views of Annapurna, Pisang peak, and several others. We will notice a change in the landscape and vegetation from today. The environment condition will be more cruel we have to face cold and dry climate. A short visit to Barge monastery will definitely be a pleasant memory.  It is the largest monastery in the entire Manang district.

Day 7

Manang - Acclimatization day

Today is set for a rest as we will need to acclimatize for the higher altitude. Meanwhile, we will spend our time visiting monastery with a short trip to Gangapurna Lake. We also visit around the local villages and the Himalayan Rescue Association Clinic. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 8

Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m) Duration: 3 - 4 hours

From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, ascends to the village of Tenki above Manang, and then continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. We’ll  then keep moving towards the valley northward, through pastures and a scrub of juniper trees, as it slowly gains height. Further on we pass the small village of Ghunsa – a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead. Now the path goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. We cross the river on a wooden bridge and passan ancient Mani wall in a pleasant meadow before arriving at another small village – Yak Kharka. Gentle but gradual ascent is the key to ignoring altitude problems. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 9

Yak kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m) Duration: 3 - 4 hours

We will make our way to the foot of the pass to Throng Phedi. This is a small yet busy accommodation to the needs of tired trekkers and climbers. Groups such as ours use this point as a base camp. Some of the group members might want to walk to the High Camp today to make next day easier for them –although the Nepal Hiking Team have reservations about this. There is a tough day planned for tomorrow and we stop at Thorong Phedi in order to sleep soundly (rather than risk a less peaceful night in the higher altitude at High Camp). Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 10

Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) crossing over Thorong La Pass (5416m) Duration: 7/8 hours

We will make an early start on our climb to the pass. We need to be fresh for the initial stage of ascent is very steep. As we come towards the peak the paths becomes slushy from melting snow. After making our way through rocky ridges, we arrive at the top of the pass (5416m). The top offers an extra ordinary  magnificent full view of panorama of snow covered peaks extending northwards into Tibet. Looking back, we can see several peaks of Annapurna and in front of us is the beautiful gorge of Kali Gandaki. Our trail then descends steeply down to Muktinath (3800m) – an important pilgrimage sight for Hindus. It is a special place and home to many ethnic Tibetans and devout Buddhists. Day 11

Muktinath to Marpha (2670m) Duration: 6 hours

Our descent continues through the Kali Gandaki Valley to Marpha. Marpha is home to many apple orchids as well as all the various food products made from the fruit. Apple Brandy  which is called Marpha in local specialty that you may be lucky enough to taste en route. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 12

Marpha to Ghasa (2010m) Duration: 6 hours

We descend through the valley following the Kali Gandaki River to Ghasa. We hike around the bank of Kali Gandaki River. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 13

Ghasa to Tatopani (1190m) Duration: 5 hours

Today, we will walk through the world’s deepest gorge in the Earth at Kopchepani; we then continue descending through the Kali Gandaki River valley to Tatopani. This place is famous for its hot springs. We will have one more extra day here to relax our body after a long days trek. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 14

Rest and relaxing at hot spring

Day 15

Tatopani to Ghorepani (2810m) Duration: 7 hours

Leaving the hot spring behind, we ascend again to Ghorepani arriving mid-afternoon. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 16

Ghorepani to Pokhara Duration: 7-8 hours

Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Nayapul then Pokhara, 7 hours hike and an hour drive
This morning, we will get up early and hike to Poon Hill. From here you will see a superb view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalaya, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and trek down to Nayapul then short drive to Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel, Breakfast and Lunch included.
Day 17

Pokhara to Kathmandu

Scenic drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, 6 hrs. Overnight at hotel, Breakfast included
Day 18

Farewell

Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Royal Mountain trekking staff will take you to the airport. Breakfast included.
